Mudremane offers a state-of-the-art in-house facility for processing Washed Coffee. With a processing capacity of 3,000 tonnes a year, the facility is the largest of its kind.
This allows Mudremane to produce single standard high quality washed coffee, ready for export.
In-house facilities:
Mudremane is the only Exporter which procures entire Coffee directly from growers in raw form.
Washed coffee, also referred to as the wet process, the coffee cherry is pulped by a mega pulping machine. This process removes the outer layer skin of the cherry with precision. Once this outer layer has been removed, the bean with is mucilage is then fermented in water for at least one to two a days. After the fermentation process, the bean is then washed from its mucilage after it has released its aroma.
Of all the coffee processing methods, this method often produces the highest quality coffee. However, it requires a lot of skill and technology in order to perform this in large scale. Some of the world’s finest (and often most expensive) coffees are created using this process.
Mudremane was the first coffee processor in India to use renewable energy to meet its energy needs
Currently the solar farm at Mudremane is generating 380 kWp. On completion it’s expected to generate upto 999 kWs saving around 1.2 Million Kiliograms of co2 emission per year
